South Seas Island Resort Wedding | Captiva Island Photographer

Wedding at South Seas Island Resort bride and groom on T-Dock

This sweet Captiva Island wedding has me glued to my computer screen today. Grant and Kim tied the knot at South Seas Island Resort a few months back and the only thing better than their super tropical island wedding celebration is reliving the day through their wedding photographs. I'm thrilled that the couple has ordered one of our custom wedding albums and we get the opportunity to see these pictures come to life in that book. Everyone always wants the digital files and I totally agree those are a must. It's nice to be able to quickly share wedding pictures on social media and in a quick email or text. I definitely think couples should also consider adding a wedding album to the must have list too though. Once the posting is done and the pictures have been shared, having a tangible album that you can pick up sitting on and look at together or share with company is really the best reminder of your special day.

For my couples who have already tied the knot or those clients that have Impressions Photography scheduled for their upcoming wedding but opt not to do a package with a wedding album, it's not too late. We offer albums both in packages as well as individually to couples. You can purchase an album at any time, even years later. Reach out today for a complete list of pricing options and packages that include albums and options for doing an individual photo book.

Also, if you are planning a Southwest Florida wedding let's chat! From Sanibel and Captiva Islands to Naples and the Caribbean I definitely love a good tropical celebration and I'm all about island life and beachy vibes! I would love to be a part of your wedding day too!! Email me at impressphoto@cs.com or give me a ring 239.437.1838

The beauty of Southwest Florida is undeniable. You really don't have to go far to find a stunning tropical flower, or my favorite, a majestic palm tree. And you don't have to spend much time with me to see me taking pictures of palm trees either! From the landscaped grounds of the Naples Beach Hotel or South Seas Island Resort to the parking lot of my grocery store, Publix, I will pull out my camera and photograph any and all palm trees. I'm inspired by these funky trees, but they also inspire many wedding photography images for me too. I will seek out and photograph that one tall, proud palm tree to create a feeling of the setting of a wedding day or a thick group of palm fronds to make a portrait backdrop. Our tropical plants are definitely among the reasons Southwest Florida is a special place and I love to incorporate that beauty into every portrait and wedding that I photograph here in the Sunshine State!

What Our Clients are Saying

This just made my day! A few words from a recent client:

When planning for our wedding on Captiva, my fiancĂ© and I both agreed having an excellent photographer would be at the top of our list.  It didn’t take long for us to come across Krista.  Immediately we were drawn to the natural poses, her eye for lighting and the way she could capture every moment so perfectly.  Not to mention she didn’t skip out on showcasing a bit of fun to her work too.  After our first call with Krista we didn’t look any further.  She completely put us at ease with her experience and knowledge and even helped answer other questions around our day.  Leading up to our day we also had an engagement photo shoot which we HIGHLY recommend.  It was honestly more for me and my fiancĂ© as we clearly aren’t used to being in front of a camera. However, Krista almost makes the camera disappear after a few shots.  Poses started to come naturally and it was great time to get to know Krista before our big day.  I think seeing and hearing how excited Krista gets as she captures a beautiful moment reassured us we’ve hired the right woman.  As expected, Krista and her team during our wedding day were nothing short of 100%.  She even showed up early to start sneaking in a few pictures and was able to work through some last minute changes in our day to ensure she could still capture the perfect moments with our family.  Everything was above and beyond our expectations.  We know her work doesn’t stop after the big day and it didn’t take long to receive the highlights and we were blown away at the hundreds she sent.  It took us right back to our day and we couldn’t be happier with the decision we made to include Krista and her team on our special day.  We will cherish these pictures forever and are so fortunate and grateful for the beautiful work she did.

Today seemed like a great day to share some fun and happy pictures and this wedding was definitely one of the first that came to mind. We laughed from start to finish and enjoyed every moment of this special day. This wedding was held at La Playa in Naples where the couple had a beautiful lawn ceremony that overlooked the water and followed with a stunning ballroom wedding reception. If you are planning your Naples, Florida wedding and are looking for the best wedding venue, La Playa is on the top of our list! And of course if you are looking for a wedding photographer who can capture all of the candid fun moments, let's talk! I would love to be that very lucky photographer :)

Behind the Scenes at Impression photography

April we are celebrating Arbor Day all month. With every wedding that we add to the Impressions Photography schedule during the month of April we will be planting 20 trees right here in Florida! As of today we have already added two new clients and we have 40 trees being planted. If you are wedding planning here in Southwest Florida or planning for a destination (almost) anywhere, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to add new wedding clients to my calendar and of course plant more trees too!

Making a Differnece in 20 Ways in 2020

20 years is something to celebrate and I'm looking to keep this celebration going all year long. This spring marks 20 years of business for Impressions Photography and I wanted to do something extra special to commemorate the occasion. Starting in March we launched our Making a Difference in 20 Ways in 2020 initiative. The goal is simple, to give back to the community that has so generously supported Impressions Photography over these past 20 years. Over the course of 10 months we will be doing two different philanthropic activities each month. Some are donations of services, some monetary and some are events that everyone can participate in. Each will be directed at helping a non-profit organization or other charitable cause.

All of the details are on the Impressions Photography website and we will keep that updated monthly. April is going to be really special. We are planting 20 trees for every wedding that we add to the calendar (Arbor Day is just around the corner!) and we have BOGO family portrait month. With every family that reserves our services during the month of April a second family portrait will be donated to a family through a local charity. This month everyone that reserves our services for family and wedding photography is helping to do a little something special too!
