That's a wrap! I've officially finished my last 2019 wedding and I'm already feeling a little nostalgic thinking about all of the good times that were had over the last year. I've included pictures from just a few of the events that I was a part of. In the past year I've photographed weddings in Nebraska, New York, Louisiana, Iowa and of course lots in Florida too. I finished up with a stunning Sanibel Island wedding (complete with the perfect sunset). I actually found myself on Sanibel and Captiva Islands more than anywhere else this year. I've always considered the islands my home base, so that was definitely a treat. Loved photographing at some of my favorite island venues like Casa Ybel Resort on Sanibel and South Seas Island Resort and Tween Waters on Captiva. Those beachy island wedding venues will always be like second homes to me. 2019 was also pretty neat because those destination clients that I photographed in Florida came from all over the world for their weddings. I found myself making new friends with clients from Canada to Scotland and even made a new connection with a client living in Poland (And with my Polish heritage that's pretty neat for me). I photographed a destination wedding on Sanibel for a couple from Skaneateles, New York, only to coincidentally photograph another couples wedding IN Skaneateles, New York a month later. I photographed two weddings where I had previously photographed a siblings wedding years before. One wedding that I've known the bride for 20 years but hadn't seen her in over 10. I photographed one sorority sister, although we were in different chapters at different times and had no idea we were sorority sisters until her wedding day. I could go on and on. It was definitely a great year with so many great new friends and fabulous memories. And now that my last wedding of the year has past, I can now say for a fact that I will always look back at 2019 as the year that every wedding I photographed was really a great one to be a part of.
