In honor of Independence Day I thought I would share a very patriotic wedding moment that happened on Memorial Day Weekend. You may have seen the pictures I shared of Makenzi and Sam's wedding day in Remsen, Iowa and their reception pictures at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds in Le Mars, Iowa. Their day was simply perfect. It was filled with fun wedding details, lots of smiles and the sweetest bride and groom. It also had a beautiful tribute to Makenzi's late grandfather, who was a military veteran. St. Mary's Catholic Church lines its walkways with American flags on the holiday. Each individual flag is up in honor of a veteran from the Remsen area. A memorial flag to Makenzi's grandfather was among the flags that the couple walked by on their wedding day. The family stopped for a picture with the flag and Makenzi also shared a moment with her grandmother by the flag. It was a beautiful tribute to a very important person in Makenzi's life and a very special wedding day moment.
