Helena and Drew are married! And I got to be there to witness their beautiful Sanibel Island beach wedding ceremony and the very fun tent reception after! The couple was married in April at Casa Ybel Resort. This was a destination wedding for Helena and Drew who came from Minnesota. They, along with their guests, enjoyed a perfect island day. April is really a beautiful time of year for an outdoor wedding in Florida, the weather is typically warm, but not as humid as the summer months.

Helena asked guests to wear specific tropical colors and it looked amazing in her wedding pictures. The tropical colors against the lush island greenery really popped. Honored guests also received leis instead of wedding flowers.
Dad walked Helena down a very Sanibel Island wedding isle. The sandy path leads to a quiet beach area where the couple had their wedding ceremony.
The sunset on Sanibel Island doesn't set directly on the beach, however those colors always light up the sky in every direction. Helena and Drew left the tent reception for ten minutes of late day pictures. They were a nice addition to their photographs and it gave guests a chance to enjoy the wedding cake before the party got really going!
