What to Expect When Booking Your Wedding Photography

 

How Do You Reserve Impressions Photography for Your Wedding Day?

One of the questions I get asked most often when couples reach out about wedding photography is:

“How do we officially reserve our date?”

And honestly, the process is pretty simple.

When a client decides that Impressions Photography (aka me, Krista) is a good fit, I send over a photography agreement that outlines all of the important details in one place. It includes the plans for the wedding day, coverage information, timing, and everything couples need to reference moving forward.

To officially reserve the date, I do require a first payment, which is typically $500. Weddings that involve travel or multiple days may vary slightly, but for most weddings that is all it takes to secure photography coverage and officially check it off the wedding planning list.

One thing I always want couples to know is that booking your photographer doesn’t mean you are suddenly expected to have every detail figured out immediately.

Between booking and the wedding day, I’m always happy to answer questions, talk through the photography timeline, discuss locations, or discuss photo ideas. Then as the wedding gets closer, we reconnect and finalize all of the important details together.

After photographing weddings in Southwest Florida for nearly 30 years, I’ve learned that couples appreciate a process that feels simple, organized, and low stress.
