The Impressions Photography Wedding Process

When I'm photographing a wedding it is important to me that my couples get great photographs, but it's also important that they are enjoying the process of having their pictures taken. We always work to get a good timeline set for the day, and then I make it my priority to insure every image that we discussed is being captured. I watch the time, taking into consideration all of the factors that go into that process from gathering people to the sunset time. My objective is for my clients to never think of how much time we have, what images we need to get or who needs to be collected. It is extremely important to get fabulous wedding day pictures, but it is just important to make sure the process of getting them doesn't take away from the rest of the wedding day.

This super lovely couples wedding day went off flawlessly and the picture process was definitely among the great aspects of the day. I had the pleasure of catching up with them while I was in their hometown of Chicago recently. It was so fun to reminisce about the day and also hear their perspective on the picture process. I always try to be reassuring and be a calming factor in a sometimes chaotic day. It was interesting hearing how much this bride recognized and appreciated that. It was definitely made me feel good to hear that us taking control of the process really did make this brides wedding day more comfortable and enjoyable.

Cassandra and Dan were married at the Salisbury House in Des Moines, Iowa. If you haven't been to the Salisbury House it's definitely worth checking out! The historic castle is really a treasure in the Midwest and one of the neatest places for an Iowa wedding!
